This colorful Mexican taqueria seems to have been designed with kids in mind, from the fun colors on the walls to the delicious “baby burritos” that are their specialty. We recommend it for flavorful kid-friendly food at reasonable prices. We love the clean, bright ambiance and the authentic flavors of the comida. And the Burlingame location is located right on Burlingame Ave, so it’s an easy stop if you’re in the middle of shopping with your kiddies. They even have outdoor seating, which is a must for enjoying the warm weather in the South Bay. Their huge menu is painted on the wall, complete with a section of kids’ specialties, so the whole family should be able to pick out something yummy. We recommend the “baby burritos” mentioned above. Although not designed with actual babies in mind, this more-petite take on the burrito is great for slightly older kids or not-so-ravenous moms. It’s under $5 too! (Which might account for the lines that form around lunchtime here.) Visit the fresh salsa bar to spice things up, or eat it as is. For younger diners, the classics on the kids’ menu are sure to please, with the quesadillas being favorites among the younger Red Tricycle crowd. And be sure to check out the awesome Día de los Muertos statue before you leave, a great way to pique kids’ curiosity about Mexican culture.
