From a family-favorite museum under the Bridge to contemporary art hubs off the beaten path, Marin is full of culture and imaginative play. Bay Model Visitor Center, Sausalito

Run by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this Center houses a working hydraulic model of the San Francisco Bay and Sacramento. The gigantic model is a great way to show your kids the geography of the area and give them an introduction to the bay-delta system. Be sure to check out their calendar of events for educational days that teach about global warming, the local food chain and more.
