From a family-favorite museum under the Bridge to contemporary art hubs off the beaten path, Marin is full of culture and imaginative play. Falkirk Cultural Center, San Rafael

For older kids, the Falkirk Cultural Center in San Rafael is a must-visit. The historic estate displays work from some of the area’s best emerging and established artists, and the gorgeous manicured grounds alone are enough reason to drop-by (not to mention the free admission). If the beauty inspires your kids, be sure to sign them up for the Art for Kids Only program, which meets in the mansion.
