The Mocha Moms of West Contra Costa County are proud to announce their 1st Boys Booked on Barbershops Book Nook Launch!! This kick-off event happens this Saturday, May 21 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Kids Cuts on 4500 Barrett Ave # C in Richmond. Boys Booked on Barbershops is a national, cutting edge literacy program designed to make the most of naturally occurring opportunities for young children to read in familiar neighborhood sites such as barbershops. The launch will introduce the “book nook” to the community and include refreshments, entertainment and of course some awesome freebies! Saddle up next to Clifford the Dog while the children’s book author, Kevin Clemons reads his wonderful book “Why Am I Blue?” All are welcome to attend this free event.
