If you’re a class commitment-phobe (or have a kiddo who changes his or her mind every day), consider one of these schools that offer a free trial session, so you can sample the fruit before signing on the dotted line. Click through the gallery to take a peek.

Mary Ann Hall’s Music for Children

Fans of the hugely popular kindie music band Orange Sherbet will want to check out Mary Ann Hall’s Music for Children, where two of the band members are teachers. Unlike most classes, these run in 28-week sessions (though you can join at any point with a prorated fee), allowing kids to create meaningful relationships with teachers and other students. At locations in Palo Alto, San Francisco and Marin, Jill and Steve have created an energetic environment where babies, toddlers, and preschoolers learn to appreciate music through fun and games. Call or email to schedule a trial.
