Blend, Mash or Puree
Local food writer and pickling extraordinaire Karen Solomon is hosting a homemade babyfood swap at 18 Reasons next Friday, a non-profit organization and venue engaging the community through food and art run by the folks at Bi-Rite Market.
If you want to feed your babe delicious and seasonal homemade purees but don’t have the time, this food exchange is your answer! Just cook up a big batch of your babe’s favorite eats, bring your baby food in 10 half-pint containers, then swap recipes and containers with fellow foodie parents. You’ll walk away with a diverse collection of 10 gourmet meals for the little one and a lot of time saved. If you bring a cooler to the swap, then afterwards you can lunch at Bi-Rite, Tartine, Delfina or Ebb & Flow. Here are the details:

Just because you’re not whizzing up frozen margaritas in the blender these days doesn’t mean you can’t put it to good use! Have fun and don’t forget to freeze a few purees for convenience.
