Ever since spying Petit Collage’s letterpress alphabet posters, we’ve been big fans of this local biz. San Francisco-based designer Lorena Siminovich has channeled her modern aesthetic into fun decorative touches for children’s rooms, in the form of everything from collages on wood (from found, vintage paper) to laser-cut bamboo mobiles. Since starting her line in 2005, she’s added prints on wood veneer, canvas prints, growth charts, and much more.

Whimsical whales, inquisitive owls, playful elephants and others come to life in her colorful, clean designs, which would fit perfectly into even the most modern of homes. With prices starting as low as $15 for prints on wood and going up to $140 for one-of-a-kind collages on FSC-certified maple plywood, the creations make perfect gifts—and you’ll be tempted to spruce up your own kid’s room with a piece or two.

Siminovich’s most recent additions to the Petit Collage collection include letterpress notecards and a line of adorable finger-puppet books! You can find Petit Collage goodies at Rare Device, Egg Urban Mercantile, Sprout, and Zinc Details in San Francisco, or Bella Vita in Oakland, or you can order through her website (for the widest selection).
