If “grass” and “violet” aren’t words that your family would normally associate with ice cream, then we’ve got a new place for you to try: Posie. Thanks to the creativity of its owner (plus their own handy in-house pasteurizer), what you’re in for is a thoughtful spin on the classic ice cream parlor that hits just the sweetest spot.

The Full Scoop
Started by Kyle Caporicci, a local dad and former pastry chef (Commis, Thermidor, Campton Place), Posie offers an artisinal array of ice cream, fresh baked goods, lunch, and even to-go pints. All of the ingredients are locally sourced, and you’ll often spot Kyle at local farmers markets gathering whatever’s in season. The shop takes root along a quaint, freshly revitalized area of Magnolia Avenue in Larkspur, and in a family-friendly space that’s bright and inspiring.

From Classics to Fresh Takes
Posie’s ice cream flavors change regularly and range from classics (chocolate and strawberry), to fresh takes (Buttered Whiskey and Burnt Vanilla), to “Can I get a sample first?” (Grass-Fed, made from wheat grass and olive oil… spoiler: it’s delicious!). They make everything in-house from the cookies that go into their Cookie Monster, to the key lime curd in their Key Lime Pie flavored ice cream. Bonus: Posie also has dairy-free options and all of their cones are gluten free, so ordering for your whole family is easy.
