Now that spring has sprung and we have more daylight to play, here are some of our favorite San Francisco streets for a leisurely stroll. These San Francisco spots are the prettiest around to take in the sights and sounds of the city and enjoy with your family. So slow down, smell the roses, and just go for a walk. Once you’re there, these everyday San Francisco moments will be that much more enjoyable that you’ll be humming to yourself, “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day in the neighborhood.”

Mr. Rogers couldn’t have been any more right. Indeed it is.

North Beach

In San Francisco’s North Beach, stroll down Columbus Avenue, facing both the Columbus Tower and the Transamerica Building for a vibrant and beautiful glimpse of the city. And with the countless Italian restaurants, delicatessens, bakeries, and even gelato shops, this stroll is a feast for the eyes (and eventually your stomachs). And if you keep walking, it’s an interesting transition into Chinatown, which is just steps away. And if you and your little one are in the mood for a picnic, or place to just sit and relax? The centrally located Washington Square Park is just the spot.

Good to Know: Street parking is very limited, so practice patience, and more patience.
