Now that spring has sprung and we have more daylight to play, here are some of our favorite San Francisco streets for a leisurely stroll. These San Francisco spots are the prettiest around to take in the sights and sounds of the city and enjoy with your family. So slow down, smell the roses, and just go for a walk. Once you’re there, these everyday San Francisco moments will be that much more enjoyable that you’ll be humming to yourself, “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day in the neighborhood.”

Mr. Rogers couldn’t have been any more right. Indeed it is.

The Mission

Valencia in San Francisco’s Mission District - chock full of eclectic boutiques, vintage shops, and interesting eats - is the place to stroll for an adventure with your little urbanite. With each step, you’ll explore the unusual - there’s much to see, do, and eat here in the Mission. Did we say eat? There are many cool casual food spots for your and your family to try. And luckily, Valencia offers very flat terrain, which makes for easy exploring with little ones. Need a recess break between all that walking? There is a children’s park right along Valencia, and even another bigger park (yes!) right behind.

Good to Know: Limited metered street parking, so be patient as you navigate the Mission.
