Now that spring has sprung and we have more daylight to play, here are some of our favorite San Francisco streets for a leisurely stroll. These San Francisco spots are the prettiest around to take in the sights and sounds of the city and enjoy with your family. So slow down, smell the roses, and just go for a walk. Once you’re there, these everyday San Francisco moments will be that much more enjoyable that you’ll be humming to yourself, “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day in the neighborhood.”

Mr. Rogers couldn’t have been any more right. Indeed it is.

Embarcadero

Head to San Francisco’s most scenic route – The Embarcadero, along San Francisco’s waterfront. flanked by piers, high-rise buildings, and of course, The Bay Bridge. Many folks may head to The Embarcadero for an afternoon run or bike ride, but the walk along this San Francisco promenade is the most relaxing. If you and your kiddo have the time – and are up for the long walk – start just past AT&T Park, walking past the boat dock (where there’s even a kiddie park for little ones), and make your way down for epic Bay Bridge views. And as you come down even more, marvel at the landmark Cupid’s Span. Not much further is The Ferry Building, the ever-popular foodie destination. If you make the trek, you and your little one will definitely work up an appetite for all the yumminess inside.

Good to Know: For those coming from the Peninsula - good commute option so you don’t have to deal with metered or garage parking is to take the CalTrain, with its station at 4th and King Street. From there, you can walk right along King towards Embarcadero – which is a very busy thoroughfare with cars, so be careful.
