If you’re tired of the ubiquitous eggs Benedict brunch, then you might be ready to give the breakfast pizzas at Rose’s Café a try. While they aren’t for pizza purists (who get their knickers in a twist at the thought of eggs on a pizza,) they are delicious if you can be open-minded, particularly their signature smoked salmon pizza with crème fraiche and scrambled eggs. And if the idea of pizza for breakfast doesn’t get your kids excited, then we aren’t sure what will. (Tread carefully however, as we have met some kids who are pizza purists.) The cute décor inside the restaurant is charming, while the outdoor seating is divine on sunny days. Much of Rose’s menu consists of Italian-inspired twists on American food. Try the smoked-salmon pizza, French toast, or the salmon cozy if you come for breakfast or brunch, and their margherita pizzas if you venture in later in the day. Rose’s has a different menu for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, and their menus change daily so the options are never quite the same if you return, although some tried-and-true dishes stick around. Go with an open mind and try what they have that day; you won’t be disappointed!
