The Tiburon Railroad & Ferry Depot Museum is more than just a wonderful field trip for those of us who can’t get enough Thomas the Tank-engine. This museum is a great way to expose kids to Bay Area history, but is small enough that you can easily see everything without tiring them out. The ground floor holds a history of Tiburon’s rail and ferry depot complete with a scale model of the town circa 1910. The upstairs has been preserved as the living quarters of the stationmaster. When you finish exploring the museum, take a walk through Shoreline Park, which offers breathtaking views of Angel Island and the Bay and plenty of room to run the wiggles out.
