Class instructions: Show off your killer taste and style with edible cards at Autumn Press, a fair trade, green print shop in the Mission. At this bake shop, sugar cookie “Love Houses” are waiting to be transformed into beautiful and delicious Valentine’s Day greetings.

The Details: If you’re free Wed., Feb. 12th from 12-5 p.m., this class is perfect for you. Kids, mom, pop and family members alike are $10/person.

Family Fun: Bake & Decorate Valentine’s Day Cookies
Class instructions: Join Sur La Table and other cookie monsters for an afternoon of sweet hands-on baking and laughing. Learn the techniques for creating that scrumptious cookie dough and then decorate your bake with fancy icing. It’s time to make your holiday extra delicious.

The Details: Class is on Sun, Feb 9th and runs for 2 to 2 1/2 hours starting at 11 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. Kids and parents alike are $39/person. Each student big or small (but not under 5) will get a generous tasting and a 10% discount coupon to use the week after class.

St. Valentines Festival
Class instructions: 
Come together with families at the Marin Country Mart as The Farmer’s Market joins hands with Saint Valentine. Win your kids’s heart over with a little cookie decorating. For the tots who need to maintain their sugar levels, there’s plenty of other activities. They won’t be disappointed with face painting, pony rides and a special hour of on-stage kids’ entertainment. Don’t forget to get some personalized poetry by the Valentine Poet!

The Details: Head over to the Marin Country Mart on Sat., Feb. 15th. The festival starts at 9 a.m. and goes on until 2 p.m. The kid’s entertainment runs from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Valentine’s Love Shack
Class instructions: Cake Art Supplies will be hosting a super awesome event where participants get to create a large Valentine Gingerbread House. Your youthful artists can choose from a fantastic selection of pink, red and white icing, and candied toppings. This is guaranteed to be a very fun day for kiddos and parents who are itching to practice their baker’s touch.

The Details: Head over on Wed., Feb 5th with your kiddo. Classes run for 1 1/2 hours from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Kids under the age of 8 need will an adult assistant, and the cost is $50/child.

Valentine’s Day Drop-Off Day
Class instructions: Major props to the City of Berkeley for knowing what the parents really want for Cupid’s holiday. Yep, some time alone. If your kid is ages 5-11, then drop ’em off for a day of cookie decorating. Don’t worry about the sugar rush, they’ll get to blow off all that energy in the day’s lineup of sports and art projects. Remember to pack a brown bag for the kiddos.

The Details: Pre-registration is required, and the deadline for registration is Feb. 6th. The actual drop-off day camp happens on Sat., Feb. 8th, and will run from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Cost is $15/resident kids; $18/non-resident kids.

Valentine Baking Craze
Class instructions: 
Cucina Bambini, a fantastic cooking school for kids, is hosting two spectacular Valentine’s Day Workshops for all the hungry tummies. Let your little loves dabble in creating a gift basket filled with Red Velvet cheesecake brownies, chocolate truffles and cupcakes. Or for the more skilled hands, attend another class where they can learn to bake a cupcake from scratch!

The Details: With two classes offered at Cucina Bambini, don’t get them mixed up! The Valentine’s Day Gift Workshop is on Thurs., Feb 13 and is $40/kid; while the Cupcake Workshop is on Wed., Feb. 19th.  and is $30/kid. Both classes run from 4-6 p.m and are for kids ages 6 and up.
