Remember when you wore your yoga pants to an actual yoga class, and not just for chasing the kiddos around the block? You can put those Lululemons to good use again when you take your kids out to a yoga class. It’s Yoga Kids
With its clean and spacious studio in the Presidio and great classes for toddlers, preschoolers, 5 to 8 year olds, special needs kiddos of all ages, and family yoga; It’s Yoga Kids is the perfect place to get your little ones started on their yoga journey. Every class includes breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, mindfulness practices, cooperative games, and art!

Cost: Drop-ins are $20 for Sunday family yoga classes and Friday baby (pre-crawlers only) classes. All other classes require registration. The next 10-week session starts March 18 so sign up now!

The Integral Yoga Institute of San Francisco
This Victorian house in the Mission is home to a wide variety of classes. Families can enjoy a yoga class together on the first Sunday of every month, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. They also offer parent and baby yoga classes also available on Wed. mornings and yoga for kids ages 3-12 on Tuesday afternoons.

Purushu Yoga
This cheerful studio in the outer Richmond offers yoga for kids of all ages every Sat. from 10 – 11:15 a.m. As of Jan. 2014 they are also now offering hip-hop and ballet classes for kids, too.

JCCSF Family Yoga
The Jewish Community Center of SF is known for kid’s swimming classes and childcare programs while mom + dad work out, but did you know they also offer a family yoga class every Friday from 3:15 – 4:30 p.m.? It’s the perfect way to unwind from the week of daycare/school/work and welcome the weekend!

Cost: Membership includes the cost of most fitness classes, otherwise nonmembers can purchase a pass for $24 a day or $12 with a member joining you.

Kids love the yoga classes at JAMaROO because they get to improve their balance, coordination, listening, and focusing skills in a lively and fun atmosphere. Thirty-minute classes are offered for 2 to 3, 4 to 5, and 5 to 7 year-olds and class size is limited to 10.

Yoga Tree SF
San Francisco’s premier yoga studio the Valencia, 6th Ave., and Telegraph locations offer classes for moms and pre-crawling babies. While they don’t offer any toddler classes, the Valencia St. location offers a kids yoga class for ages 4-13. Nandi Yoga
This popular place for yoga offers a ton of options, from prenatal and baby and mama to toddlers (18 months to 3 years), preschoolers (3 to 5 years), and even family yoga on Saturdays from 9:15am to 10:00am (open to all ages with a focus on kids 2 to 7). School-aged kids get to try out a complimentary class first so they can be placed in the one that suits them best. Registration is required.

Stretch Play Yoga at Play
This super sweet indoor play space in Los Altos offers two kids yoga classes on Thurs., from 10-10:30 a.m. and 3:45-4:15 p.m. Taught by instructors from Stretch Play Yoga–an organization started by two Peninsula moms who have developed a yoga curriculum for social emotional learning taught throughout elmentary schools on the Peninsula. Check out their website, stretchplayyoga.com, for more info on the schools they teach in, and to find out if your kid’s (Peninsula-area) school can set up a program.

Cost: Classes are included in play pass; which start at $10/family for half-an-hour but we recommend at least a one hour pass for $20/family because once the kids get there they’ll want to explore. Family passes are kids, siblings, and parent/guardian. Discounts available if you purchase multiple play passes.

Pomegranate Prenatal Yoga and Parent Center
The name says it all! This is a great place to connect with other parents and moms-to-be, and to reconnect with your kids. There is a regular kids yoga class, on Tues from 4 – 4:45 p.m. but check the online schedule online to be sure the class is happening.

Bonus: this center offers a regular Sunday morning partner yoga class with childcare, ongoing mom and baby classes, as well as a folk music class for kiddos!
