City Mouse

When store owner Donna DeRousie originally opened the doors of City Mouse in West Seattle Junction, her sights were set on building a photography studio to accommodate her expanding list of clientele. But following came a demand for outfitting clients with trendy, photo perfect threads that weren't being met by local shops. Her store has since flourished into a stylish kids' clothing boutique for sizes ranging from newborn up to twelve. Regulars return for the extensive selection of modern garb by Tea, but there's also an array of baby necessities organized throughout the store including wooden toys by Tegu, eco-friendly blanket sets, and brightly colored feeding essentials from Skip-Hop. Donna still dabbles in photography, so after you've found something cute for the kiddos to wear be sure to sign up for a photo shoot before those duds are outgrown.

Insider's Tip: After you're done making your purchases, plan on scoring a sweet treat next door at Cupcake Royale or stroll down California Avenue to Husky Deli for some incredible handmade ice cream. It's the best!

Good to know: City Mouse's website is currently being updated and will soon include a baby registry. If you follow them on Facebook they will update you when the new site is finished.
