The food! The festivities! The crowds! Sounds like the summer festival season is here. And Seattle’s got plenty of ‘em to keep families entertained from now until your crew heads back to school. Flip through the gallery to see our area faves, with your calendar at the ready.

Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival

This old-fashioned, down-home waterfront festival (now in its 41st year!) is where everything is fun, almost everything is free and nothing is fancy. See gorgeous wooden vessels, go on a free boat ride or watch craft and skill demonstrations by regional boat builders. Plus, enjoy food vendors, live music, exhibits, boat building races and plenty of kids’ activities including toy boat building and a scavenger hunt!

Dates & Times: July 1-4, 2017 from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. (Note: On July 4, all Wooden Boat Festival activities, docks and the wharf will close to the public at 3 p.m.)

Don't Miss: The fireworks over Lake Union on July 4 at 10 p.m. Lake Union Park will open to the public for viewing the fireworks with activities and amenities provided by Seafair.
