With the start of our rainy season in sight, it’s only natural to be thinking about indoor birthday parties again. So if a just-right spot to host your kid’s bash is on your list, these birthday party places in Seattle should do the trick. We’ve got some amazing indoor spots to choose from. The best part? They keep kids active and make it easy on parents (no mess to clean up!). From looming climbing structures to sports field spaces to a bus equipped to tumble, kids can run, duck and tumble through the party, while you sit back and let the party planners handle the tough stuff. Party on!

Editor’s note: As things continue to evolve with the Delta variant, safety precautions may change. Please contact party sites for the most up-to-date offerings.

Defy Tacoma

Defy Tacoma makes the most of its expansive 30,000 square foot warehouse space. Attraction density was the goal when the park was designed, and it shows. Everywhere you look, there’s something new and engaging for kids to try. There's the requisite open jump space where kids can bounce from one tramp to the next, until they can’t bounce anymore. Other familiar attractions include circus favorites like the slack line, cloud swings and trapeze bar. However, it's the not-found-anywhere-else attractions that your little party goers are really going to love. Wipeout, a mechanized attraction, pits a staff-controlled machine against kids of all ages; Battle Beam, a suspended balance beam, is where players use padded bats to try and knock each other off balance and into the pit below; and the Log Roll is just like it sounds and perfect for lumberjack wannabes.

Defy Tacoma’s party packages include everything you'll need for an easy-peasy bash. Book one of their four party rooms and the staff will take care of everything from the decorations, to the food and drink, to all the paper goods. The only thing you bring is the cake! But if planning is your thing and you want to throw a coordinated or themed bash, they can help you do that, too. Reach out to the Event Coordination Team to bring your perfect party vision to life.

The Tag Zone

If you've got a Nerf gun fanatic, a birthday party at The Tag Zone is going to be a blast! Referees hand out Nerf guns, ammo bags and protective eye-wear and divide partygoers into equal teams for supervised open-play sessions, where they can choose from four different games to play: Squad vs. Squad, Protect the Leader, The Prison or Capture the Flag. Private parties allow up to 12 guests to launch and dodge Nerf darts for two hours as well as use a designated party space for cake and presents.

Good to Know: Party packages include use of the Nerf guns, eye protection and a safety briefing as well as tables and chairs; food and party supplies are not provided, but you're more than welcome to bring in your own. A referee is on hand at all times to monitor the rules of the game as well as make sure everyone stays safe. Parents and younger sibs (you must be at least 5 years old to play) who are not participating are welcome to watch and take pictures at no extra charge.

Note: The Tag Zone recently relocated from its home in Des Moines to Bremerton. But don't worry. You'll still find all the same fun at its new location!
