Gray weekends got you down? Need an indoor adventure spot where the kidlets can have fun and get smart, too? Check out one of our faves, the Children’s Museum, Seattle, located in the Center House at Seattle Center. Great for kids from birth to age 10, the Museum offers hands-on, interactive exhibits that let inquiring minds – and curious hands – grow. We’re big fans of the Museum’s permanent exhibits, whether it’s an exploration of cause and effect at Cog City or an indoor hike through the Mountain Forest. Hiked to your heart’s content? Stop back in September to stroll through a new addition to the perma-exhibits: Grocery Store, sponsored by Metropolitan Market. And don’t miss the Museum’s traveling exhibits (opening 9/27/08: The Adventures of Mr. Potato Head! Remember that sartorially gifted spud?). You can always visit the Imagination Studio, where your little ones can create fridge-worthy masterpieces. Ditto the Museum’s daily classes, which give youngsters a chance to explore music, dance, movement, critical thinking, and literacy.
