From curing diseases to curing pork belly; running marathons to running start-ups, Seattle is filled with thousands of dads that make being cool look easy. Just in time for Father’s Day, read on for our list of some of Seattle’s best known and under-the-radar dads that rock (without trying too hard).

Steve Sandmeyer

The voice that gets a lot of local sports fans through rush hour with the kids happens to be one cool dad himself. When Steve Sandmeyer isn’t interviewing Seahawks and Mariners star players for 1090 The Fan, the sports radio show he co-hosts weekdays between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m., he can be found hanging out with his with wife and the couple’s almost-five-year-old daughter Megan and three-year-old son Joe. Sandmeyer’s favorite place to grab a bite with his family? “Niko's Gyros in Magnolia,” he says. “The kids demolish the feta and fries along with pita bread and tzatziki.”

Seattle is brimming with cool dads. Who else should we add to our list?
