Take the fam to the Phinney Center Community Plaza at 5:30 p.m. for a Dia de los Muertos procession and then enjoy a family-friendly festival at 6:30 p.m. in the Blue Building.
This free event will include a traditional altar dedication by Raul Sanchez, a performance by students from the Spanish Preschool Co-op, Spanish music for children by Marco Cortes, and a fab raffle.
Kids can decorate sugar skulls and chocolate skulls, picture frames and paper flowers and everyone will enjoy Pan de Muerto (Bread of the Dead) and authentic Peruvian food from Don Lucho’s.
5:30 p.m. – Festival opens: Meet in Community Plaza for procession led by Ce Atl Tonalli Aztec Dancers.
6:15 p.m. – Community altar in the Blue Building dedicated by Raul Sanchez
6:45 p.m. – PCPE Spanish Preschool Co-op students perform
7:15 p.m. – Marco Cortes performs
9 p.m. – Event ends
