Explore: Bellevue Square Park

When you can’t think of something new to do on the Eastside, it’s OK to go with the old standby. So when in downtown Bellevue, don’t pass on Bellevue Square Park, just because it’s so obvious. Whether it’s playing on the playground (perfectly sized for the under-5 set), walking around the park, or feeding the ducks in the pond, it’s a sure bet to tire your little Energizer Bunny. Plus, there are plenty of nearby spots to discover, all of which have relatively convenient parking. On Old Main Street, sample a Parisian macaroon from Belle Pastry; then go next door to check out Glassy Baby’s new Eastside retail store. Hit Mommy Mondays at Julep Nail Parlor or do a grocery run at the downtown Safeway, and while you’re parked there, you can walk to get a fro-yo at Ce Fiore (where the latest flavor is yummy Golden Cherry). By the end of your morning, you’ll be wondering why you don’t do this scene more often.
