Football season is here (go Hawks!), the chill of autumn is in the air and those chunky sweaters and Hunter boots have once again taken center stage in our closets—fall is in full swing in Seattle. And what better way to experience autumn, than with a hearty bowl of soup. Click through the gallery and get ready to satisfy your soup cravings at one of our favorite belly-warming spots.

Geraldine’s Counter

Nestled in the Columbia City neighborhood is the bright and cheery Geraldine’s Counter. Typically a favorite spot for breakfast (served all day), Geraldine’s is also well known for their Kick Butt Chili. Boasting a recipe chockfull of three meats and according to the menu, “enough spice to perk you up but not burn you out,” this bowl is one to add to your lunchtime routine. Served with a mound of cheddar cheese and sour cream, this chili is right up your alley if you’re in the mood for some serious comfort food. But be warned, you may just want to curl up with a blanket in your booth because after this meal, you will feel right at home.
