With Thanksgiving coming up, closely followed by even more holiday eating, it’s the perfect time to get some preventative exercise in and support several local charities at the same time. If your fam is ready for some turkey trottin’ and reindeer runnin’ this holiday season, read on and get ready to lace up your tennies and participate in these local fun runs.

The 12K’s of Christmas Holiday Run

Don your most festive holiday garb and come out to enjoy The 12K's of Christmas Holiday Run on December 20, 2015. This event offers something for everyone: a 12k run/walk, a 5k run/walk, and a free 1k Little Reindeer Run for kids ages 10 and under.

Good to Know: Race starts at 9:30 a.m. with the Little Reindeer Run following at 11:15 a.m. Kids who participate will receive a special race bib, finisher’s ribbon and a treat from PCC Natural Markets. Children’s event t-shirts are available for purchase for $10 while supplies last. The event starts and finishes at Kirkland’s Heritage Park on the shores of Lake Washington and all runners will get to enjoy a new course using the Cross Kirkland Corridor Trail. Enjoy the post-race celebration with costume contest judging and over 30 exhibitor booths.
