When it comes to healthy cities, Seattle tops the list (It’s true; the Google said so!). We’re super green and we eat lean. Hey, even our kids love kale chips as a snack. But sometimes, you just need to indulge your taste buds. So, go bike the Burke or SUP the morning away on Alki, then take the fam (and your appetite) for a tour of some delightfully delish food fads that are truly drool-worthy. But maybe not so skinny jean friendly. Nosh on!

The Cronut

If you’ve been curious about this culinary trend, it’s time to give it a try, at Meander’s Kitchen in White Center. Their version, the creatively named “Meanderthal,” moprhs from one tasty flavor combo to the next each time it’s made. From Meyer lemon, to peanut butter and jelly, to Chocolate Cheesecake, these giant pastries won’t leave you wanting much. Except maybe another. So wear your elastic waistband pants to enjoy this breakfast treat. And make sure the kiddos split one. Dig in!
