You garage is overflowing with outgrown kids’ gear and you could use the cash, but who has the time or energy to organize a sale? Local mom Christina Melby handles it all, and delivers a check to you to boot.
Melby wasn’t content to rest a year ago, when she was eight months pregnant with her third kiddo. Instead, she dreamed up and founded The Kids Sale, a giant consignment sale that gives families a chance to shop for what they need, and to sell what they’ve outgrown. The second annual mega-sale is coming up; we’re letting you know in advance, while there’s time to sign up to sell.
Here’s how it works: register online; gather your kiddo clothes, shoes, maternity clothes, toys, games, puzzles, sporting goods, books, movies, music, play equipment, furniture, stuffed animals, women’s items, and baby gear; log on to make tags for your items or let Christina’s team tag for you; price your items; chose a drop off time; collect your check! Volunteer to work the sale–you’ll get up to 85% of your sales back–or, just collect 70% of your sales at the end. Unsold items can be picked up or donated. Consigners and volunteers enjoy a pre-sale for the best selection. Bonus: you get a starter kit for tagging items, and free hangers. Just looking to shop? We suggest heading over early!
