Seattle families are spoiled with the many wonderful ethnic restaurants available around every corner (think pho, sushi, teriyaki and, of course, Mexican). But if you and your young foodies would like to try a taste of the other continents, we’ve rounded up a handful of restaurants worthy of repeat visits. Click through the gallery and follow our tips for a globe-trekking bite of the Emerald City.

Turkish Delight

As Edmund in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe could tell you – Turkish Delight (“lokum” in Turkish) is addictive. Your family will be bewitched too if they sample some of the homemade variety from this family-run café - there's all sorts of flavors from strawberry, lemon and rose to cinnamon, green apple and chocolate. The Turkish Delight cafe has more choices for the sweet tooth, including traditional baklava filled with nuts and honey. On the savory side, you can try börek (flaky pastries filled with cheese, meat, or veggies) and Doner kebabs.

Insider Info: Be sure to try Turkish Delight's delicious, not-to-be-missed lentil soup with chicken kebab meat and spices.
