“Pretending” is at the top of the list these days for 3-year old Caroline K. of Redmond. So, at her November birthday party the little party-goers were treated to a magical adventure with the folks from Seattle’s Moonpaper Tent,   providing make-believe fun through imaginative, child-led story telling. Upon arrival, each child got to pick out a costume and make a glittery wand – which they gleefully put to good use when a “Fairy” led them to all corners of the house, finding pretend magic at every turn. After the adventure, the little sprites got their faces painted.

Pink and green polka dots Wands1and Gerbera daisies provided inspiration for the decor. Giant tissue-paper balls were hand-made by mom and are reusable for future parties. Table decor included pink and green Glassybaby votives (filled with raffia and a daisy) and a scattering of jelly beans. Guests noshed on various appetizers, pizza, and an almost too-good-to-eat fruit centerpiece from Edible Arrangements in Kirkland. Everyone enjoyed the assortment of mini cupcakes from Seattle’s Wink Cupcakes which were color coordinated to match the theme. Even the gorgeous invitations by Mango Ink were the perfect prelude to this magical adventure! (Invite photography by http://www.lisiwolf.com)

The attention to detail lasted up until the moments the kids were headed out the door: even the take-home goodies (hairbows—hand-crafted by mom and a friend—for the girls and matchbox cars for the boys) were packaged in coordinating mini take-out boxes.
