It’s mid-May and the weather is finally acting like it. So take advantage of the lovely spring weather and head out on a local adventure. This weekend, we have two great music concerts, a super-fun street fair, a puppet show, a golf outing and a bring-your-pet outing.  Don’t forget about two big events happening downtown— Giant Magnet at the Seattle Center (which runs through Saturday) and the Seattle Cheese Festival at Pike Place Market.


Music To Our Ears

Kids Rock event at Seattle Art Museum Not only are two fab new shows (on Andy Warhol and Kurt Cobain) opening, but to celebrate, SAM is throwing a killer, kid-friendly music event with sets by Caspar Babypants and Harmonic Pocket, plus art-making, karaoke, dress-up, kids’ tours, and face painting. Community Communing

University District Street Fair It’s the annual event that kicks off Seattle’s festival season. Don’t forget to check out the kids area, with inflatables, crafts, street performers and a chance to meet and do a photo op with the wacky Chicken Riderre, a Zambini Giant Puppet (which is a cowboy riding a chicken).
