Does your kiddo clamor to get in the kitchen and help you whip up dinner? Making memories in the kitchen sounds ideal, but there are times when cooking with the kiddos can be a true test of a parent’s patience. Not to mention the clean up. But what kid doesn’t love to crack a few eggs, with Mum or Dad there to scoop out bits of eggshell of course. To help your pint-sized sous chef nurture their culinary talent we’ve rounded up six cooking classes, and bonus—no messy kitchen to clean up.

The Pantry at Delancey

Tucked in behind the delightful Delancey pizzeria in Ballard is a wonderful space called The Pantry at Delancey, where the focus is on food, from family dinners to cooking classes for all ages. During their Cooking with Kids classes, little ones can get elbow-deep in pizza dough and pie-filling. The Pantry offers one or two cooking classes for kids every month. Classes cost $95.

Bonus: The Pantry is offering a Kids Culinary Camp in April. You can find more details
on their website.

Helpful Hint: Classes fill up fast so moms and dads who want a jump on those coveted spots might want to sign up for The Pantry at Delancey newsletter.
