170Seattle’s adults may be known for their fleece-focused fashion, but that doesn’t mean their kids have to be–especially with the bevy of great kiddie clothing designers that reside in this city. Three such designers are Sven and Amy of Eight3One and Kate Quinn of Kate Quinn Organics. Eight3One offers soft 100% cotton, sweatshop-free onesies and tees with funky, original designs silk-screened onto them. Right now, we’re loving the light blue and brown onesie with a stylish beetle design on its front. The duds from Kate Quinn are less “street” and more classic, but just as cool. There’s a darling girls’ bolero jacket with chocolate trim and a mandarin collar that we want (along with the girls’ gaucho pants). The Vintage Color onesies and the boys’ Professor Coat are also ‘awww’ worthy. Let the record show that REI’s catalog doesn’t solicit the same response.
