There’s no shortage of fun things to see, do and eat at the 47th Annual Northwest Folklife Festival. One of the largest free folk festivals in the country, this annual festival features over 5,000 diverse performers, over 100 cultural dance showcases, workshops, arts and crafts, food booths, tons of hands-on family activities in the new Discovery Zone and much more!
The family-friendly Discovery Zone (open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. in the Next 50 Pavilion) will be packed with all kinds of hands-on workshops and activities that young festival-goers have grown to love. Performances will also take place in the Discovery Zone throughout the four days of the Festival with one exception; the incredibly popular Kindiependent showcase outgrew the Discovery Zone long ago. Seattle’s favorite kindie bands (think: Eli Rosenblatt, The Not-Its!, Brian Vogan and his Good Buddies, Recess Monkey and Johnny Bregar) will perform on the Fountain Lawn Stage on Monday, May 28 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Fri.-Sun.: 11 a.m.–10 p.m.
Mon: 11 a.m.–9 p.m.
