Whether it’s Monopoly, Hungry Hungry Hippos or Chutes and Ladders, the winter months are a great time to unplug and enjoy a board game with the fam. And playing together in a warm community atmosphere just adds to the fun—you can try new games, revisit some old faves or play with other families. Meeples Games

According to Wiktionary, a meeple is “a small person-shaped figure used as a player's token in a board game.” So, it’s the perfect name for this “gaming café” in West Seattle. Meeples has a great game library to explore - you’re sure to find something your family will enjoy (from card games like Sushi Go and Ooga Booga to dice games like Ninja Dice and Zombie Dice). With sandwiches, hot and cold snacks and more, there’s plenty to keep the kids' tummies full, and their minds engaged (espresso and beer for the grown-ups too).
