Dining out with your entire brood can be an exercise in extreme patience. Thank goodness for smartphones and tablets to keep tots with growling tummies busy. However, if you’re looking to up the dining out fun factor, these six Seattle-area establishments will provide good eats with a side of entertainment for the kiddies.
Preservation Kitchen and Main Street AleHouse
If you love regional cuisine and supporting local producers, head to Preservation Kitchen. And bring the kiddies along for the ride! Its seasonal menu showcases local producers and uses sustainable, organic ingredients whenever possible. The restaurant serves local coffee, dairy, produce, baked goods, meat and over 50 Washington wines.
Active kids will love the outdoor play area adjacent to the restaurant and parents will love the special $2 pricing on Wednesdays and Saturday breakfast, making an upscale dining experience affordable and enjoyable for the entire family. For a more casual atmosphere, enjoy the Main Street Alehouse, a Bothell favorite that shares space with Preservation Kitchen at the 1916 historic Kaysner Estate. All ages and budgets can find exactly what they are looking for at one of these two unique establishments.
