the scoop:

The Seafair Pow Wow is a proud tradition that brings Native Americans of all tribes and cultures together and is open to the public. This three-day-long celebration (now in its 31st year) honors the original vision of founding leader Bernie Whitebear, to make the Native community more visible and to show the beauty of our traditional ways.

The Pow Wow showcases traditional and authentic Native American cooking, including a traditional salmon bake and its famous Indian frybread tacos and showcases jewelry-making, music and dancing. Throughout the day, tribes from the United States and Canada dance in full tribal regalia and eagle-feather head-dresses to the beat of the drum.
