There are lots of festivities this weekend, most of which revolve around Earth Day and the celebrating of all things green. We’ve got a sampling of great, kid-friendly, ED events, plus a musical concert, a ballet-themed storytelling hour, and a pirate bash that focuses on getting kids moving. Of course, you also may want to check out the always-wonderful Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival at Seattle Center, or treat your doll (and her doll) to brunch, tea, or dinner at the American Girl Fashion Shows, held this weekend at the Meydenbauer Center. Plus, Mark your calendars for Seattle Restaurant Week, which starts Sunday and runs through April 22. More than 100 local restaurants are offering three-course dinners for $25, and many are doing lunch too! Check out the complete list and plan on a fun (and cheap) date night!
PS – Next week, April 21, Playmatters in Greenwood/Phinney is hosting an all-day Open House for their new Fall preschool program. Stop in anytime to sample a day in the life of a preschooler (the theme is Welcome Spring: kids learn how plants grow, about critters and crawlers and the life cycle of bugs and frogs).
