With the start of August and Seattle’s biggest (and loudest!) weekend of the summer, it’s a fantastic time to get outside and enjoy some summertime fun! For starters, we have tons of activities along the shores of Lake Washington, the largest children’s parade in Seattle, and a festival with lots of speed. We also have an event for future Olympians, a totally awesome day for the Littles, and a super-sized consignment sale! Seafair Fleet Week kicks off on Wednesday in the Port of Seattle. Show your support by welcoming the ships and let your lil’ sailors climb aboard a Canadian or United States Navy vessel. And, be sure to look skyward this week for the sights and sounds of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels (pictured) and watch as they perform their breathtaking maneuvers over Lake Washington.
