With the start of August and Seattle’s biggest Seafair weekend of the summer, it’s a fantastic time to get out and enjoy the city! For starters, we have tons of family fun along the shores of Lake Washington, an urban campout for the whole fam, and a historic summer festival. We also have a magical story hour, a back-to-school consignment sale, and an awesome celebration for kids. Seafair Fleet Week kicks off on Wednesday in Elliot Bay. Show your support by welcoming the ships and sailors at Bell Harbor and let your lil’ sailors climb aboard a Canadian or United States Navy vessel. And starting on Thursday, look skyward for the sights and sounds of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels (pictured) and watch as they practice their spectacular passes and breathtaking maneuvers over Lake Washington. Happy Seafairing!
