Family Mardi Gras Night at Hiawatha Community Center As adults, we know the pleasures of celebrating Mardi Gras. Now the Littles can experience it too by making colorful necklaces and masquerade masks, plus dancing to N’awlins-style tunes and sampling Cajun treats. Henry’s Freedom Box This moving show (geared to ages 12 and younger) about the true story of Henry Brown, a slave who takes a huge risk and mails himself to freedom, is the perfect way to spend a thought-provoking afternoon with the whole fam.  (Note: A craft session takes place before the performance.) Predators in the Sky Skies are filled with hawks, owls, eagles and other birds of prey. Take kids and learn what predators of the sky live in the neighborhood. Registration is required.  Sat., 10:30 am – 11:30 am, Bellevue, $5. Event details.
