This weekend, the Emerald city is going festival bonkers! For starters, we have a popular summertime festival in the heart of West Seattle, a wet and wild derby, and a cultural celebration with loads of entertainment! We also have a fragrant farm adventure, a day with our fav blue train, and a celebration to help you kick off the Summer Olympics. Rain or shine, the super-popular American Heroes Air Show returns this weekend with more helicopters than ever before! Get up close and personal with more than 20 public and private helicopters (and their crews!) and sign up to take a helicopter ride around Seattle.

West Seattle Summer Fest

Seafair Milk Carton Derby (pictured)
This colorful derby will feature nearly 100 milk carton boats (of all shapes and design!) as well as plenty of interactive displays and exhibits, photo opps with the Seafair Clowns, Seafair Princesses, and The SeaGals, and plenty of food booths. Sat., 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Chinatown International District Dragon Fest
Take the kiddos to Hing Hay Park for this super-fun festival featuring lion and dragon dances, rhythmical Japanese taiko drumming, Chinese martial arts demonstrations, Asian drill team and Indian dance performances plus a large-scale outdoor Asian market, cultural activities, food vendors, and more! Lavender Celebration

Day out with Thomas
Calling all Thomas the Train lovers! Mercer Island Summer Celebration!
