Summer is in full swing and with temps hovering around 70 degrees (finally!). It’s a great weekend to get outdoors and make the most of it. Bite of Seattle
This weekend is the perfect time to get your bite on! Sample food from more than 50 Seattle area restaurants and more than 30 food product companies. Plus, enjoy live music, arts and crafts, cooking demos, beer and wine gardens (for Mom and Dad) and much more! Be sure to take the kiddos to the Family Fun Zone for lots of kiddie music and entertainment, inflatables, free samples, and fun interactive activities. Pirate’s Booty Seafair Milk Carton Derby (pictured)
Watch as nearly 100 colorful milk carton boats (yes, we said milk cartons!) of all shapes and designs compete for cash and prizes on the waters of Green Lake. On shore, enjoy plenty of activities including interactive displays and exhibits, autographs and picture opportunities with the Seafair Clowns, Seafair Princesses and Sea Gals, a pig petting area, and food booths. Seafair Indian Pow Wow
This annual event, celebrating the richness of the Native American culture, showcases hundreds of dancers in full regalia, drum groups, a salmon bake, food vendors and a wide array of Native American arts and crafts. Lavender & Herb Celebration @ Dr. Maze’s
If you and the fam are looking for a fun farm getaway this weekend, than head to Dr. Maze’s. Take a hay ride tour of the farm, explore the mazes, and try your hand at the rubber ducky races. Plus, go on an adventure with Farm Tots and shop for fresh lavender and herbs at the farm stand (or pick your own from the field!).
