It’s Father’s Day weekend and we’ve put together a fantastic roundup of family fun to celebrate dear ol’ Dad! For starters, we have a musical journey with our fav cat, an eclectic summer festival, and a show for hot rods. We also have a fun history lesson, a behind-the-scenes tour, and a Father’s Day adventure in the park. If Dad enjoys art, be sure to hit the super-popular Edmonds Arts Festival (one of the oldest and largest art festivals in the PNW!). This year’s festival will include plenty of live entertainment along with fab art, yummy food, and an awesome Kid’s Creative Corner!


Seussical the Musical
Take a musical journey with all of your fav Dr. Seuss characters (think Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, and Gertrude McFuzz!) to the Jungle of Nool, Circus McGurkus, and to the invisible world of the Whos! Fremont Fair & Solstice Parade
Journey to the “center of the universe” and help usher in summer at this fun and quirky neighborhood festival. From decorated art cars to street performers to the free-spirited Solstice Parade, you’re sure to find something interesting (and entertaining!) around every corner. Father’s Day Car Show & Chili Cook-Off
If Dad is a car lovin’ engine revin’ kinda guy, you’ll want to take him to this super-cool car show. See hundreds of classic cars along with their present-day companions and enjoy 50’s and 60’s tunes and a tasty chili cook-off. Sun., 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Burien/Seattle. Free. All ages. Fraser Cabin Heritage Program
If you’re looking for a fun way to introduce your kiddo to Eastside history, join volunteers from the Eastside Heritage Center for hands-on activities that relate to 1880’s settler life including agriculture, dairy, household tasks, log cabins, games, and more. Family Waterfall Tours
Take a one-hour tour by bus and by foot to the Cedar Falls and see (behind closed gates!) how it supplies tap water to your Seattle home. Sat., 10:00 am & 2:00 pm (also July 13-15 and August 10-12). North Bend. $5/person (under 5 free). All ages. Event details.

Father’s Day Breakfast and More!
