The Emerald City is bursting with Irish pride this weekend! From parades to festivals to family fun runs, there’s a little something for everyone! Consider: a two-day Irish celebration, a race for wee lads and lassies, a parade with lots (and lots!) of green, a super-fun evening with PSC, a hilarious show guaranteed to make you smarter and happier, and a stylin’ show for your American Girl. Also on tap: Seattle Children’s Family Fest will feature tons of hands-on activities, a concert with Johnny Bregar, a Teddy Bear Clinic, free bike helmets, and tours of the new Building Hope emergency expansion.
Irish Festival at Seattle Center
Celebrate the luck of the Irish at this annual celebration featuring non-stop Irish music and dance performances, art and cultural displays, educational workshops and lectures as well as Irish/Celtic vendor booths and children’s contests and activities. Rain or shine get your green on at this annual St. Patty’s Day parade! Grab a curbside seat and see marching bands, bagpipers, drill teams, and lots of Irish dancers travel between 4th Avenue and Jefferson Street and the Seattle Center. Bonus: Catch a free ride on the Monorail between 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm to watch the closing ceremonies at the Seattle Center. Sat., 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm (closing ceremonies start at 2:00 pm). Seattle. St. Patrick’s Day Dash
Put on your Irish duds, lace up your tennis, and celebrate the arrival of spring by running, walking or jogging in this annual family-friendly race. Now in its 28th year, this fundraiser will include a 4-mile course, a half mile Leprechaun Lap for little ones, and lots of fun activities and costume contests after the race. American Girl Fashion Show
This annual show and major fundraiser for Seattle Children’s Hospital is not to be missed!
