If “unwinding” is tops on your list for Mother’s Day, check out these local spa specials. Picking a great spa in the Seattle area is a little like picking a great park…there are tons of options! Suite 300 Skin Care, Ballard/Seattle
An RT reader tipped us off to the best facial she’s ever had: The New Mommy Facial, developed for Mother’s Day by the owner of Suite 300, is geared especially to moms and all of our issues caused by too much bending, picking up, slouching while nursing, and “lack-of-sleep skin issues” caused by our little darlings. In addition to the actual facial (which involves a gentle cleanse, scrub, enzyme peel and masque) to take care of neglected and dehydrated skin, it includes a jojoba oil scalp massage and pressure applied to strategic points on the face, as well as an aromatherapy massage targeting the shoulders, neck and face. We’re pretty sure lots of these issues apply to all moms, whether your baby is 5 months or 5 years!

Spaahh at Hotel 1000, Seattle
Celebrate with Mom on Sunday, May 13th with one of these spa specials designed just for Mother’s Day. “Peach Cosmo Pedicure” includes a quick pampering and one of BOKA’s signature White Peach Cosmos. The “Spring Cleansing Facial” is great for rejuvenating your skin til it’s soft as Spring. Specials are on now through the end of May, and be sure to check out their daily happy hour for other great pick-me-ups.

The Spa at Pro Sports Club, Bellevue
In case you were wondering…yes, The Spa and Salon are open to the public, not just club members! In addition to the Greek-inspired women-only relaxation area (with 3 whirlpools, a steam room, and sauna), this is one of the only spas around with its own in-spa dining room. You can lounge in your spa robe and order from their huge menu. Need childcare? Spa and Salon guests may utilize Discovery Bay, the onsite licensed childcare facility (book in advance).

Enjoy Mother’s Day Relaxation and choose from 3 different spa packages: “Me, Myself, and I” offers moms the “ultimate time-out” with an a 60-minute Relaxation Massage, a 60-minute Personalized Facial, and an Essential Pedicure. Try the “Time For Me” and choose between a 60-minute Personalized Massage, 60-minute Personalized Facial, Signature Manicure or Signature Pedicure. Or, there’s the “All About Me” treatment where you can get a Royal Blow-Out and professional makeup application. Add in more fun with clip-in hair extensions (available at an additional cost). All packages scheduled for Mother’s Day weekend (Friday, May 11th – Sunday, May 13th) receive a complimentary Me-Mosa, a non-alcoholic treat every mom can enjoy.
