It’s no doubt you recognize Seattle resident Amanda Grace from her nightly news broadcasts on King 5. Or maybe you’ve bumped into her with son, Louis (3 ½) and daughter Isla (9 mos.) combing a local beach for sea glass on a sunny day. Amanda brought her journalistic talents to Seattle just two short years ago, by way of Boston. In that time she’s changed jobs, moved across country, lived in three different houses, renovated one and did it all with a toddler and baby in tow (whew!). But what else do you expect from a mom who spent nine straight hours on the anchor desk covering the Boston Marathon bombings her first week back from maternity leave?

Amanda is quick to acknowledge that one of the reasons she’s able to do all these amazing things is because of the support system she surrounds herself with. Her husband, Greg, runs the dinner, bath and bed routine every night so Amanda can do her thing at King 5. And she tips her hat to her mom, her son’s great preschool, their fantastic nanny and a house that isn’t always as clean as she’d like it to be (we hear you, Amanda!) as other helpful pieces of the ever-changing work/life puzzle modern families work to assemble daily.
