Summer has finally arrived! It’s time to take advantage of Seattle summer’s long, sunny days and warm nights. Looking for some things to do with kids to keep them entertained? 1. Enjoy an Outdoor Movie
Pack a picnic and bring a blanket. Watching a movie under the stars at various parks is a Seattle summer tradition, with free kid-friendly flicks at night for the whole family to enjoy.
3. Visit a Water Park or Splash Spot
We love Seattle summer! Grab your swimsuits and put on some sunscreen!!! Come and visit the many beaches, pools, and water parks Seattle and the Eastside have to offer such has Pratt Park, Madrona Beach, Lincoln Park, Peter Kirk Pool, Henry Moses Aquatic center and much more.
4. Eat Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt
Need to cool down with something cold and creamy from a hot Seattle summer day? There is plenty of family and kid friendly ice cream and frozen yogurt parlors around the city to satisfy everyone’s different tastes.
5. Visit a Beach
Seattle has a slew of kid-friendly beaches. One of our favorites is Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island, which has something for everyone in the family. There are nature trails, a sandy beach, tennis courts, picnic tables, and a playground for kids of all ages.
6. Hike with the Kids
Its time to stretch those legs and put those little muscles to work while burning energy on the many fab, fun family-friendly hikes in Seattle.
7. Explore the Parks
Kabota Garden is a hidden treasure for a beautiful Seattle summer outing with the kids. The kids will love discovering the small creeks, trails, and gardens throughout the site.
9. Take a Bike Ride

10. Visit a U-Pick Farm
A Seattle summer is the perfect time of the year to pick and taste summer fruits like cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines and plums. The kiddies will be amazed learning and seeing where all their favorite fruits come from. Oh…and don’t forget the free taste samples :)
