It’s the return of the old-fashioned Sunday matinee! The Northwest Film Forum and The Sprocket Society bring you Secret Sunday Matinee, a series of family-friendly, blast-from-the-past films. Get the fam together for some retro, edge-of-your-seat fun and fantasy. Weekly cliffhanger episodes of the 1940 serial Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe air every Sunday at noon. Then, you catch a secret matinee feature-length-film—something equally retro, starring aliens, monsters, pirates, mad scientists, or strange critters! That’s all we can tell you, as the films themselves are surprises – we can tell you to expect high-adventure and to anticipate a giant kick in your weekend. The lineup is a mix of quality and kitsch that all ages are sure to enjoy. But, wait, there’s more! Cartoons and shorts! Sure to delight!
