130Face it. You need to shake up your workout routine (or maybe get a workout routine?) With the holidays around the corner, it’s the ideal time to find an activity that will keep your body and mind in check. Have you considered Pilates?

If you’ve been intimidated in the past, either by the complicated equipment or the hefty class fee, we’d like to introduce you to Conscious Body Pilates.

The new Madison Valley studio (recently voted Best of the City for Prenatal Pilates by Seattle Metropolitan magazine) has a warm, friendly vibe – kind of like a bunch of girlfriends getting together to work out. The mat class is totally approachable and unique in that it is limited to five students, which means lots of personalized attention for each student (perfect for beginners).

The class itself runs one hour (yeah, we were getting sick of those 90 minute yoga classes, too) and combines the best elements of dance, yoga, stretching, breathing and a deep core work out. And let’s face it, who doesn’t need a deep core workout?

Your core is the foundation for the rest of your body. When you core is strong, your body works more efficiently, whether you are going for a run or just running after your kids. So sign-up now for a six-week series, then take a deep breath and say, “ahhhh.”

PS – Mention Red Tricycle when you sign up for any six week series and you can attend unlimited mat classes (in any series) for the entire six weeks. Happy Holidays!
