With the holiday season in full swing, it’s easy to keep everyone in your crew happy and entertained. On our weekend radar: a lively competition in the streets of Seattle, a festival with Santa’s biggest helpers and a kickoff event with some popular clams. If that’s not enough excitement, A Victorian Country Christmas returns this weekend with tons of holiday-themed shops, stage shows and concerts, plus gourmet food, kids’ activities and photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Now in its 31st year, this annual caroling competition is not to be missed. Bundle up the kids and head downtown to see dozens of caroling teams sing throughout the streets of Seattle, competing for the number one spot while raising money for the Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank. Diving Santa
Did you know that when Santa isn’t supervising elves and delivering toys, he loves to scuba dive? Come see for yourself when he dives in the Seattle Aquarium’s Window on Washington Waters exhibit. While you’re there, enjoy a holiday performance by the Dickens Carolers and Northwest Girlchoir and take in a story time with Santa, a mammal meet and greet and more. Sat.-Mon. West Seattle Junction Holiday Night Market & Tree Lighting
Bundle up your crew and head to the West Seattle Junction for this annual holiday event. Stroll The Junction and enjoy a festive Night Market where you’ll find nibbles, drinks, games, and deals all wrapped up with holiday flair. Have your pictures taken with Santa, make a wooden snowflake ornament for the tree, pick up your holiday wreath and enjoy cocoa, cookies and holiday eggnog. Then, at 5 p.m. gather around the tree in Junction Plaza Park for a festive tree lighting. Sat. Event details.


Issaquah Reindeer Festival
At this annual holiday extravaganza, visit with Santa, drop a letter in his personal mailbox, feed his reindeer and hear a story from an elf, plus visit with the zoo’s animals and enjoy holiday music, activities and yummy treats. Fri.-Sun. (through Dec. 23). Event details.

Ivar’s Clam Lights & Official Tree Lighting 
Take your little elves to Gene Coulon Beach Park to see thousands of twinkling lights, holiday scenes and Ivar’s famous Dancing Clams. After the official tree lighting ceremony, enjoy live holiday entertainment, a bonfire, community sing-a-long and the Argosy Cruises Christmas Ship and Parade of Boats. Fri.-Sun. (through Jan. 1). Redmond Lights & Luminary Walk
Enjoy a festive tree lighting ceremony, holiday activities, music, refreshments and a fireworks show at Redmond City Hall. Then, after the tree is lit, participate in a luminary walk to RTC where you will be met with a festive holiday party complete with holiday treats, kids’ crafts and entertainment. Sat.
