The Emerald City is going festival bonkers! For starters, we have a popular summertime festival in the Junction, a wild and wet competition on the lake, and a cultural celebration with loads of entertainment. We also have a three-day event with our fave blue train, a summertime festival with an awesome parade, and an anniversary celebration in the park. If you’ve got a little kangaroo who loves to jump, you don’t want to miss Springfree Trampoline’s 5th Birthday Party. In addition to 12 trampolines, there will be live entertainment, prizes, face painting, food, and much more.
West Seattle Summer Fest
The biggest party of the year hits the streets of West Seattle! During this three-day festival, take in tons of vendor booths, arts and crafts and live music on multiple stages. Seafair Milk Carton Derby
At this wildly popular event, watch as nearly 100 milk carton boats race to the finish line or sink trying. In addition to this entertaining competition, there will be lots of interactive displays and exhibits on shore as well as photo opps with the Seafair clowns and princesses, food booths, and tons of kids’ activities. Chinatown International District Dragon Fest
This annual festival will have a little something for everyone. Expect to find lion and dragon dances, rhythmical Japanese taiko drumming, Chinese martial arts demonstrations, Asian drill teams and Indian dance performances. Day out with Thomas: The Thrill of the Ride Tour (pictured)
Calling all Thomas the Train fans! Take a 25-minute train ride with a full size Thomas the Tank Engine, meet Sir Topham Hatt and enjoy live storytelling, music and lots of hands-on activities with Thomas and his friends. Redmond Derby Days
At this annual summer festival in the heart of Redmond, take in an outdoor movie and live entertainment, enjoy delish food and arts and craft booths and let the kids go crazy at the kids’ carnival. Psst! Be sure to grab a curbside seat on Saturday morning to watch the Kids Parade and Grand Parade and stick around for the fireworks finale on Saturday evening. Mercer Island Summer Celebration!
This family festival (celebrating the Pacific NW and Washington State’s 125th Anniversary) will include everything from live entertainment, lumberjack shows and a Children’s Fun Zone to car shows, arts and crafts, and a spectacular fireworks show.
